Qualcomm has teased the new processor for OnePlus 13, its Snapdragon 8 elite. OnePlus may be reconsidering its decision to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 as the power source for the OnePlus 13, given Qualcomm is currently developing a new flagship CPU.
Qualcomm hinted at the release of a new chipset named the Snapdragon 8 Elite in a recent Weibo post, giving fans a preview of the upcoming Snapdragon Summit. Oryon cores, a technology already included in the Snapdragon X Elite laptop SoCs, are demonstrated in the movie.
The OnePlus 13 will undoubtedly operate on the next Snapdragon flagship SoC; in fact, we’ve already seen how well it works. Rumor has it that the OnePlus 13 will be unveiled at some point this month. Since Qualcomm has set the dates for its Snapdragon Summit conference for October 22โ24, it is reasonable to believe that the company’s flagship product will be available not long after.
It’s still unknown exactly what the Snapdragon 8 Elite is used for. It’s unclear whether Qualcomm intends to introduce it as a stand-alone flagship device in addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or whether it’s only the Gen 4 rebranded.

Additionally, Leaker Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo that the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU may be found in the OnePlus 13 as the first smartphone . Furthermore, preliminary sources indicate that the smartphone would include a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 2K resolution.
Additionally, a powerful triple rear camera arrangement, headed by a 50MP LYT-808 main sensor, is anticipated for the OnePlus 13. A 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, which provides a 3x optical zoom, are expected to accompany it.
The OnePlus 13 release date has not been announced yet, but OnePlus might release the new smartphone this month in China, and in India it will come next year in Q12025. The Xiaomi 15 series might become the first smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite and will launch on October 20.

- OnePlus 13– This new smartphone might release this month in China (Oct 2024), and expected price is around between Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 INR, which is costly. Oneplus phones has increased their prices in last few years, there was a time they launched flagship killer phones with aggressive pricing.
- Xiaomi 15 series-ย The Xiaomi new series is going to launch on 20th October 2024, and will be powered by latest snapdragon chipset and might cost between Rs 70,000 to Rs 90,000 INR.
- iQOO 13-ย A report suggests that the iQOO 13 may arrive in India between December 1st and 10th. Still, the phone will probably launch in China a month ahead of schedule.The iQOO 13 may cost as little as Rs 55,000, according to the rumor, which makes it seem like a good deal for a Snapdragon 8 Elite phone.
- Realme GT 7 Pro- The phone is expected to be a successor for the Realme GT 5 Pro, which was never released outside of China. According to reports, the Realme GT 7 Pro’s features may include a massive 6,000mAh battery, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, a 50MP primary camera lens, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It might cost above Rs 60,000 in India and might launch in November 2024
