Oppo has just announced two smartphones in China, namely the Oppo Reno 14 Pro and the Oppo Reno 14. These two mid-range smartphones are making news because they are packed with interesting features. The two phones’ target audience is people who play games or watch multimedia.

Oppo Reno 14 5G, Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G Features, and Specifications

The Oppo Reno 14 Pro and Reno 14 are equipped with a 6.83-inch and a 6.59-inch flat OLED display, respectively. Both phones support a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Both smartphones have great screens and can reach 1200 nits peak brightness. For protection, Oppo uses Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.

The Oppo Reno 14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, while the Oppo Reno 14 is powered by the Dimensity 8350. Both are impressive processors and provide great performance for mid-range devices. Both phones can accommodate up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, and a ColorOS 15 skin based on Android 15.

Camera

The Oppo Reno 14 5G series phones have 50-megapixel front camera sensors, 50-megapixel periscope shooters with 3.5x optical zoom, and 50-megapixel main cameras with OIS capability. Whereas the Pro model features a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, the base Reno 14 5G phone has an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

Of the two models, the Reno14 Pro is the more advanced one. The device has four 50MP cameras. An optical image stabilization (OIS) primary camera, an autofocus ultra-wide lens, and a 3.5x periscope zoom lens are all located on the rear. In addition to being 50MP, the selfie camera has a broad 90° field of vision.

Both the front and back cameras can capture 4K video at 60 frames per second. This is even possible when Oppo’s unique stabilization is activated on the back cameras. The front camera can shoot 1080p at 30 frames per second or 4K at 60 frames per second without stabilization.

Battery and other features

While the Pro model has a 6,200mAh cell, the Oppo Reno 14 5G is powered by a 6,000mAh battery. Both phones are compatible with cable fast charging (80W). Additionally compatible with 50W AIRVOOC wireless fast charging is the Pro version. According to the claims, both phones are water and dust-proof and have IP66+IP68+IP69 certifications. They provide 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C connection, and they include fingerprint sensors built into the display for security.

Live streaming and Gaming

Oppo Reno 14 Pro is made for people who live-stream. According to Oppo the phone can handle continuous 4 hours of live streaming on Full charge and for gamers it can handle 8 hours of gameplay without any lag. Additionally, it features a function that, even if you hit record too late, captures the final 30 seconds of action.

Oppo has included a sizable 20,000mAh battery bank and an external cooler to accommodate extended use. Three microphones on the phone improve voice quality and cut down on background noise.

Oppo Reno 14 Pro and Oppo Reno 14 Launch Date in India

There is no official release date for both phones, but we can expect 2 to 3 months to hit Indian markets. The Reno 13 series was launched in November 2024 in China, but in India, it arrived in January 2025.
