Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will shut down soon. The game was the company’s largest mobile gaming platform effort. Like its PC and console counterparts, fans anticipated that it would be a mobile winner.
Call Of Duty Warzone Mobile Shutdown
The game was a success when first launched, but soon players started complaining about performance issues. I played at first and found it was buggy. The performance issues include lag, crashing, and graphics issues. Later, the number of players started to decrease, and the game failed to grow. The PC Warzone was successful, but the Mobile version could not pack a punch.
It had trouble retaining its current players and was unable to attract enough new ones. The project began to lose steam in the absence of a robust and consistent player base.
Activision has now formally announced it. Support for Warzone Mobile is coming to an end. The game will no longer be accessible for download on Google Play or the App Store as of May 19. It is no longer playable for new players. Although several features have already been turned off, current gamers are still able to play the game on their devices.
Real money in-game purchases are not allowed. The online store for the game has also been shut down. Although Activision has not yet announced a complete closure date, these actions indicate that it will happen soon.
The development team produced a high-quality product, according to the corporation. However, the performance of the mobile application was subpar. It couldn’t match the success of Warzone’s PC and console editions.
Though the original Call of Duty is still active and is a very popular mobile game, if you want to play Call of Duty on mobile, then click here and check it out for yourself. To download, you must have Android version 5.0 and above, and you must have an ample amount of storage.
