The Poco F7 5G has been launched in India. The handset is in the news because it is powered by Qualcomm’s latest chip, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which runs on HyperOS.

The Poco F7 5G sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED display offers a 2,560 Hz touch sampling rate and a 3,840 Hz PWM dimming rate, and the peak brightness is 3,200 nits. It also supports HDR10+, and the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Out of the box, users will get Android 15 and will have Xiaomi HyperOS skin. The company has promised 4 years of major Android updates and 6 years of security updates and patches. It supports a number of AI tools, such as AI Notes, AI Interpreter, AI Image Enhancement, AI Image Expansion, and Google Gemini and Circle to Search, among others.

In the optics department, the Poco F7 5G is equipped with a 50 MP Sony IMX882 Primary camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. There’s a 20 MP front camera for taking selfies. The phone has a 6,000mm sq vapour cooling chamber for heat dispersion and a 3D IceLoop System with AI-powered temperature management. It is said to enhance the game experience by supporting WildBoost Optimisation 3.0. A dual stereo speaker system is also included with the phone.

Battery and other features

The 7,550mAh battery of the Poco F7 5G model from India supports 22.5W wired reverse charging in addition to 90W wired fast charging. For biometric authentication, it features a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. It is said that the phone satisfies IP66+IP68+IP69 water and dust resistant standards.

It has a glass back panel and an aluminum central frame. The phone has 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector as connectivity options. It weighs 222g and is 7.98mm in size.

The Poco F7 5G with 12GB + 256GB capacity costs Rs. 31,999 in India. The cost of the 12GB + 512GB version is Rs. 33,999. Beginning on July 1, the phone will be sold across the nation via Flipkart. Frost White, Phantom Black, and Cyber Silver Edition are the color options available for purchase.
