Apple recently released the iPhone 17 series worldwide and has received mixed reactions, especially for its design. Now that the Apple iPhone iOS 26 has launched, users are angry because it has a major issue: the battery drains quickly.
Many tech enthusiasts noted that their “juice bar” was running low within hours of installing the update, which was first shown at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in June.
One user said, “My phone was only 79% charged 58 minutes ago,” a disgruntled user on X vehemently complained. “My phone is becoming a brick due to iOS 26.”
Another user claimed ” Battery health just fell to 80%” since installing the new update.
What did Apple say on iOS 26?
In a support post, Apple responded to the complaints and reassured users that a brief decrease in battery life and thermal performance is “normal” following a significant upgrade. “You might notice a temporary impact on battery life and thermal performance after completing an update, particularly a major release.”
According to the business, “this is normal, as your device needs time to finish the setup process in the background, including downloading new assets, updating apps, and indexing data and files for search.”Additionally, it mentioned that certain new features may require more resources, which could temporarily affect the performance and battery life of some users.
Significant power drain problems that consumers noted as soon as iOS 26 was released have led to criticism of the upgrade. Dissatisfied consumers have used social media to voice their worries about the buggy’s performance and the quick battery drain. Apple admits that following significant upgrades, background operations and new features may cause a brief effect on battery life.
