After the last year’s Honor 90 debacle because of pricing, Honor has returned to the Indian smartphone market with its second phone, the Honor X9b, which is priced at โน25,999. It is launched for mid-segment users.
Honor X9b Review-Design and Display:
The Honor X9b is available in two colors: sunrise orange and midnight black. The orange color is made of vegan leather. The phone’s weight is around 185 g, which is quite light compared to competitors. The phone has round edges, due to which the in-hand feel is good. Sadly, the phone does not come with a 3.5mm jack.
The Honor 9b has a bright AMOLED display with a 6.78-inch screen size and a resolution of 1220×2652 pixels with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display has 1200 nits of peak brightness, and in outdoor conditions, the phone works fine. Honor also used its patented ultra-bounce technology, which acts as a shock absorbent behind the display.
Performance:
The latest Honor 9b uses the 2022 chipset launched by Qualcomm, i.e., Snapdragon 6 gen 1, which is built on a 4nm process. It’s not the latest or fastest processor, but it can handle day-to-day tasks easily and can do some gaming. At this price point, the honor should have gone to the Snapdragon 7-Gen series.
In the benchmarks test, the Geek Benchmark 6 single score is around 930 and the multi score is around 2773. The AnTuTu score is 4,96,680.
It uses the Adreno 710 GPU, due to which it delivers smooth performance across different tasks, like multitasking and media consumption.

Camera and Battery:
The camera in the rear configuration of the Honor X9b consists of three lenses: a 108 MP wide lens, a 5 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. There is a 16 MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
Honorx9b takes very good photos in daytime and has very good details and vibrant colors, but the phone struggles in low light scenarios, the photos lack sharpness but overall the photos are good considering in mid range segment.
The phone does comes with 2MP macro is which is useless and brands should avoid 2MP macro camera to their phones. The front camera 16MP also takes good photo in daylight. The phone also has OIS which works fine.
The new Honor X9b has a 5,800mAh battery. The device adeptly controls its energy usage, even when undertaking more demanding tasks like multitasking and gaming, guaranteeing consistent performance all day long. Although there isn’t an adapter included with the phone, and offering a 30W fast charger as part of the launch promotion.
