Samsung Unpacked 2025
The Samsung Unpacked 2025 event will be held in San Jose on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 10 a.m. PT or 11:30โฏp.m. IST. The live stream will be available on the Samsung YouTube channel and Samsung website.
Samsung generally hosts an unpacked event twice a year, one for the Galaxy S series lineup and one for the Fold and Flip series. Last year, Samsung unveiled the Fold series in Paris. Just like last year this event will be full of galaxy AI. According to the firm, customers may purchase the forthcoming Galaxy phones and receive advantages worth Rs. 5,000 via an e-Store coupon by pre-reserving their seat for Rs. 1,999, which would grant them access to the Galaxy Pre-reserve VIP Pass. Additionally, this will immediately validate their participation in a Rs. 50,000 contest.
Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung will unveil several products, but the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy AI are the ones that tech enthusiasts are most anticipating. Samsung has said the next Galaxy AI will be more natural and intuitive. AI has been a key focus for all major smartphone brands. These companies have promoted mobile AI as a method to make life simpler, from simplifying photo editing to summarizing emails and assisting users with text message drafting. Though these AI features look great, most of the users don’t use them. Last year, Apple launched Apple Intelligence, but the smartphone shipped without AI, and Apple said it will come in future updates.
Samsung Unpacked 2025 news
Samsung has previously said that the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event would mark the launch of their next Galaxy S series. Three modelsโthe Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25+, and the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultraโare probably going to be unveiled, in accordance with past traditions. The Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC from Qualcomm is anticipated to power all versions, with 12GB of RAM coming standard.
According to rumors, the normal Galaxy S25 model will have a 4,000mAh battery, while the Plus and Ultra models may have 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh cells, respectively. According to leaked renderings, the alleged Galaxy S25 Ultra could have rounded sides instead of the boxy style that has come to be associated with Samsung’s “Ultra” models in recent years.
The one that caught my eye was Galaxy S25 Slim which might be released in the event. Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to have a 6.66-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is a little smaller than the Galaxy S24+. It is also expected to come with a 200MP HP5 primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens.
According to some rumors, the rumored Galaxy Ring 2 could also be unveiled during the event, bringing two additional sizes to rival the Oura Ring. In comparison to the original Galaxy Ring, the wearable is said to have better AI capabilities, more accurate health data sensors, and a longer battery life.
The South Korean corporation may also introduce Project Moohan, an extended reality (XR) headset that was revealed in December 2024, in addition to the Galaxy S25 series. Running on Google’s new Android XR platform, it supports features that use artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR).
