Samsung Galaxy is soon going to be released and fans are excited about it, and pricing might be the same as last year’s S24 series, but there is sad news for US or European fans.
For heavy multitaskers in places like the US or Europe, the most recent rumor from a typically trustworthy social media leaker is undoubtedly not very reassuring. This is due to rumors that the 16GB RAM-packed S25 Ultra variant, which has been in the news for a few months, is only going to a few Asian nations.
Is 12GB RAM still enough?
The real question is whether we need a smartphone with 16GB of RAM. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus can get by with 12GB of RAM. Additionally, the S25 Ultra will function flawlessly with 12GB of RAM, just like last year’s S24 Ultra.
We don’t see complaints from users about RAM, instead, most of them are happy with 12GB RAM. The reason why 16GB might be important is because of other competitors in the market. There is the OnePlus 13, which is limited to China and starts at 12GB of RAM and goes up to 24 GB. Naturally, that specific super-flagship has a significant edge over the Galaxy S24 Ultra that the S25 Ultra isn’t expected to match: it has 12 or 16 GB of memory stateside.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 16GB RAM Availability
Regardless of the necessity, it is quite disheartening to see that Samsung’s much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 16GB RAM is unlikely to occur outside of areas like China, South Korea, India, and Vietnam. So for Indian fans, it is great news, that you will be able to use the 16 GB variant. The fact that the firm first introduced a Galaxy S21 Ultra edition in a few European and Asian countries in 2021 before clearly seeing that it was something customers didn’t need or desire is even more depressing.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series expected specs
The Note-inspired angular form of the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to give way to a new flat-frame design with softened corners. The smartphone, which is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, is probably going to offer a significant performance boost.
Regarding the camera, the gadget could replace the 12MP sensor in the previous generation with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, perhaps the Samsung JN3. Furthermore, it is rumored that the phone will use second-generation Gorilla Glass Armor, which would increase durability and improve the anti-reflective qualities of the display.
It is anticipated that the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus may get small design improvements including less bezels and better screens. The Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU is also anticipated to improve both models, signaling a move away from Exynos processorsโpossibly as a result of production issues. The device might be packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 45 W wired and wireless charging support. The device will also get 7 years of software updates which is like the cherry on the cake for users. The event will be held on January 22 from 11:30 PM in India or 1 PM ET in San Jose, California.
