POCO’s top-tier F series will soon launch in India, but there’s a catch only the POCO F7 will be released in India. POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra might skip the India launch.
For a while now, the Poco F7 series has been the subject of rumors. The Poco F7, Poco F7 Pro, and Poco F7 Ultra have not yet been confirmed by the Xiaomi sub-brand, but it looks like certain Poco F series devices could be available in every area. Poco might only introduce one F7 model in India, according to a source. While the Poco F7 Ultra is comparable to the Redmi K80 Pro, the Poco F7 Pro seems to have the same features as the Redmi K80.
Tipster Yogesh Brar on X hinted that the Pro and Ultra variants might not be released in India as of now. The POCO F7 Pro and Ultra will be available in global markets. The predecessor POCO F6 was launched in India last year but the F6 Pro was not launched in India. POCO might launch a special edition of POCO F7 just like last year we saw the POCO F6 special edition which was Deadpool special edition.
According to the tipster, the alleged Poco F7 Ultra will likely be “exclusive to global sectors,” and the Pro model of the lineup will not yet be released in India. There were “more months to wait” and a “change in tactics,” he noted, but he did not provide any details. They can be taken to indicate that the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra models might make their debut in India, although considerably later.
POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra Expected Specificationsย
The POCO F7 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120HZ refresh rate. The front glass is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and the screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. POCO F7 might be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC which is a great processor for gaming and multitasking. The phone will have a 6,550 mAh battery capacity and can be charged with 90W fast charger which will be bundled with the phone. According to reports the phone might have a 50MP primary camera and 8MP ultrawide camera. The front camera is 20MP which can record 1080p videos.
The Redmi K80 Pro, which has a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, is said to include characteristics identical to the Poco F7 Ultra, according to recent reports. In addition, the forthcoming Poco phone may include a 6.67-inch OLED 2K screen, a 50-megapixel triple back camera, a 20-megapixel selfie camera, and a 6,000mAh battery that supports both 50W wireless and 120W cable charging.
POCO F7 Price in India and Launch Date
There is no official launch date or pricing leaks but if we consider POCO F6 the POCO F7 might have pricing between Rs 30,000- Rs 35,000. Last year POCO F6 base variant was launched at Rs. 29,999. It might be launched in the 2nd quarter of 2025, POCO F6 was launched in May 2024.
