Apple yesterday launched the new iPhone 16E, which is the newest member of the iPhone 16 family. This time Apple has killed the special edition which was introduced in 2016, The last Special edition phone was launched in 2022, i.e. iPhone 3SE. Although Apple is starting over with the iPhone 16e, it still maintains all of the SE’s foundations, most notably affordability. The iPhone 16e with 128GB of storage starts at Rs 59,900 in India. The top-end option with 512GB storage would set you back by Rs 89,900.
iPhone 16E is the newest phone and this time the phone has been redesigned and packed with Apple Intelligence. The final SE was based on the iPhone 8, which made it the only iPhone in Apple’s lineup with “yesteryear” features including a Lightning connection and a Home Button with Touch ID. Since all devices must now have a USB Type-C connector, Apple was compelled to remove it from the market in the EU due to that port. Since the iPhone 16e, like all contemporary Apple devices, has USB C, the SE may once again enter the EU.

iPhone 16E has a body like the iPhone 14 and is powered by the same processor that drives the latest iPhone 16 series and is powered by an A18 chipset. Since Apple Intelligence’s current incarnation mandates that devices have at least 8GB of RAM, the iPhone 16e will also have itโa significant improvement over the iPhone SE 3’s meager 3GB. Base storage now starts at 128GB as the 64GB storage was also eliminated. Up to 512GB is possible.

It features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. The phone is powered by A18 chipsets which were introduced in the iPhone 16 series. At the back, we get a single-camera setup, the primary camera is 48MP which supports OIS. The front camera is 12MP which can record video up to 1080p. It supports 20W wired charging. Face ID biometrics and the large notch from the iPhone 14 are back. The fundamental design, which consists of a metal and glass chassis with IP68 dust and water protection, is also unaltered. The new iPhone 16e has a matte appearance and is available in black and white.

The iPhone 16e Price in India 2025 is Rs 59,900 for the 128GB, Rs 69,900 for the 256GB, and Rs 89,900 for the 512GB memory options. On February 21, pre-orders will open, and on February 28, public availability is anticipated.
iPhone’s discontinued
When the European Union started implementing its new law requiring USB-C charging ports on the majority of devices last December, Apple started removing the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone SE from its online stores in many European nations, including Austria, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, and many more. After the launch of the iPhone 16E, it has been confirmed Apple will discontinue the iPhone 14 series and SE.
