Samsung Electronics is known for its various products and today they announced the Samsung 9100 Pro SSD. The new SSDs are fast and have larger storage capacities. The 9100 Pro and 9100 Pro with heatsink SSDs deliver next-gen performance.

To assist them in doing so, the 9100 PRO SSD ushers in a new age of performance. With the lineup’s increased capacity, faster speeds, more power economy, and flawless dependability, customers can keep inventing without worrying about storage constraints.
Power efficiency and performance
The 9100 Pro SSD uses PICe 5.0 which enables the drive to achieve up to 14,800/13,400 MB/s sequential read/write speeds- which is faster than its predecessor and moves data twice as fast as the previous generation. Additionally, you can handle large files or access your favorite games and apps more quickly than ever before thanks to random read/write rates of up to 2,200K/2,600K IOPS.
The 9100 Pro series uses less power than its predecessor because of the 5nm controller. The 9100 Pro with heatsink provides an additional layer of thermal control, which helps the drive to remain cool. The 9100 Pro delivers up to 49% enhanced power efficiency compared to the previous generation.
Storage and Speed
With a capacity of up to 8TB, the 9100 PRO is the first Samsung NVMe SSD and will provide you with more storage than before for all of your creative pursuits. The 9100 PRO SSD family sets a new standard for dependable storage on compatible laptops, desktop computers, and PlayStationยฎ 5 devices, whether you’re doing professional picture and video editing, creating AI content, or playing games.
Pricing & Availability
The 9100 Pro will be available starting next month (March). The capacities are 1TB (MSRP: $199.99), 2TB (MSRP: $299.99), and 4TB (MSRP: $549.99). Likewise, the 9100 PRO with Heatsink will come in 1TB (MSRP: $219.99), 2TB (MSRP: $319.99), and 4TB (MSRP: $569.99) capacity options. The second half of 2025 will see the release of the 8TB versions.
Samsung 9100 Pro SSD launched in India
There will be four storage capacities available for the Samsung 9100 Pro SSD: 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8 TB. Prices for the 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB versions are Rs 14,999, Rs 25,499, and Rs 49,999, respectively, and will go on sale on March 18, 2025. The second half of 2025 is when the 8TB variant is anticipated to debut. The prices are just speculation and have been converted to INR, the actual price might be more or less, it will depend on the brand at what price they will launch the product in India.
