Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Initial impressions

Motorola recently launched its new smartphone in the Indian market, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC. Check out the initial Impression below; this is not a detailed review.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Initial Impressions

Except the inclusion of a third lens and the way the camera island looks, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion looks quite similar to its predecessor right out of the box. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP main lens. A three-in-one light sensor is added to the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, its successor, which has a similar setup. However, when the phone is put on a level surface, the large camera module causes it to wobble.

Moving on to the overall design, the Edge 60 Fusion is part of a long-standing collaboration between Motorola and PANTONE. For those who are unaware, PANTONE is a US-based organization that establishes color standards. “PANTONE offers a universal language of color that facilitates color-critical decisions across all stages of the workflow for manufacturers and brands,” the company states.

Three color options are offered for the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion: PANTONE Zephyr, PANTONE Slipstream, and PANTONE Amazonite (review unit). Each of the three color choices has a leather finish and has been approved by Pantone. In 2020, Pantone introduced the Amazonite color as one of 315 new colors in their collection.

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is easy to grip because to its rounded corners and 1.5K all-curved display. The smartphone’s side panel is finished in a glossy manner and is a somewhat darker shade of PANTONE Amazonite.

Moving on to the rear panel, it has a matte, smooth vegan leather surface that somehow resembles canvas. The cloth is smooth and has no leather-like texture. The rear panel seemed a little brighter in natural light than it would have in typical room lighting.

It is also vulnerable to dust and smudges because to its canvas-like texture. The smartphone will draw dust if the user’s hands are not completely clean or have been exposed to dust. Even the Motorola logo, which is represented by a stylized “M,” will be beneficial since it will draw dust and fingerprints.

There wasn’t much bloatware on the smartphone when it was delivered. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has respectable performance; the touch controls are fluid. There are a few drawbacks, though, which will be covered in more detail in the next review.

Although the speakers are respectable, several smartphones are far less expensive and have superior audio output capabilities. Although the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion’s huge screen may make it difficult for certain individuals to use it as a “pocket-friendly” phone, its lightweight design allows users to use it with ease with only one hand.
