Nothing CMF Buds-Design and built quality:
Nothing is famous for its design, i.e., transparent design, whether it is a Nothing phone or a Nothing audio product. but this year’s CMF sub-brand of Nothing has ditched transparent design and has a solid color and sporty design.
CMF has added a unique rotatory dial on the corner of the case, and you can attach a lanyard to it. Well, it’s the same as when you attached your ID card. The rotatory dial looks good and makes the design stand out.
The CMF buds is priced at Rs. 2,499 and even at this price the built of buds is quiet impressive the magnets used are quiet strong and the earbuds does not feel cheap. The size of buds are compact so easier to carry in pockets. There is also an LED indicator which tells pairing status and battery of the case.
The earbud shape is very similar to the Nothing ear1 and ear2. The Nothing CMF Buds design is very durable and comfortable; I can wear them for hours without discomfort. Though it depends on the user because everyone’s ears are different, it works well for me.
The earbuds also have an IP54 rating, which indicates dust and water resistance. This means you don’t have to be concerned about getting wet during workouts or during the rainy season.

A double tap plays/pauses audio or answers/ends calls, a triple tap skips tracks or rejects calls, a tap-and-hold toggles between ANC and transparency modes, and pressing both earbuds adjusts the volume.
Sound quality and noise cancellation:
When we talk about earphones, design matters, but what matters most is the sound quality of the product. CMF uses 12.4mm custom bio-fiber drivers, and Dirac’s patented Opteo sound correction ensures a balanced and enjoyable listening experience.
The earphones have a very nice and balanced sound. The base is pretty good; it’s not noisy but well balanced, though it doesn’t compare with Apple earbuds because they are on a different level.
With the use of Nothing X app you can also manually adjust EQ e.g. rock, electronic etc. The CMF Buds also include active noise cancellation of up to 42dB over a wide 2900 Hz bandwidth.
Battery life:
According to CMF it can last up to 8 hours with continuous playbackย on single charge with ANC off and 5.6 hours with ANC enabled. With the additional two to three recharge cycles offered by the small charging case, the battery’s overall life is increased to an amazing 35.5 hours when using no ANC and 24 hours when using it.
