Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Pro launched in China. Sales of Xiaomi’s new Mi Air Conditioner Pro will begin at 8 PM tonight and will be accessible on JD.com and other websites. The starting price is ¥3,999, or around $549.
In China, Xiaomi has introduced the new 1.5 HP Mijia Air Conditioner Pro. It is intended for spaces with an airflow rate of 830 m³ (~29,311 ft³) and dimensions of 16 to 20 m² (~172 to 215 ft²). Its shape allows it to be installed only 2 cm (~0.8 inches) from the ceiling.
Due to its bottom-inlet, top-outlet airflow design, the AC requires only 2 cm of space from the ceiling. It improves airflow in spaces by circulating a breeze. Depending on how close a person is, a twin millimeter-wave radar system automatically modifies airflow to avoid blowing straight at them or provide mild cooling. The radar system can identify human presence within a 7-meter range and 180° field of vision.
The Mijia Air Conditioner Pro 1.5HP is claimed to chill in as little as 30 seconds thanks to its 790 W cooling capacity. The energy efficiency rating of the Mi Air Conditioner Pro is APF 5.65. Its dual-row condensers and evaporators allow for quick cooling in 30 seconds and quick heating in 60 seconds. Its “Little King Kong” outdoor unit can withstand temperatures as low as -35°C and as high as 65°C, making it suitable for use in harsh climates.

The temperature and mode are shown on a tiny integrated display. This Xiaomi HyperOS Connect gadget can be controlled with a remote control or Xiao AI voice commands through the Mijia app, which also allows you to initiate over-the-air updates. Other smart gadgets in the Xiaomi ecosystem can be connected to it. The product listing states that it can operate at a noise level of up to 18 dB.
Xiaomi’s HyperConnect platform is another way that the AC enables smart features. The Mi Home app and Xiao AI voice commands are two ways users can operate and personalize the air conditioner.
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Pro 1.5HP costs CNY 3,999 (about $549) in China. Outside of China, Xiaomi has not formally launched its smart air conditioners.
