Kia India has released a teaser of the upcoming car that will be launched next week. Kia Clavis is the new 7-seater premium multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). By offering vehicles that meet the standards at different price points, the automaker will be able to reach a larger customer base. In addition, it will probably be the fifth model in the brand’s reasonably priced lineup, joining the Seltos, Sonet, Syros, and Carens.

The Kia Clavis will be a premium car, and according to reports, it might be priced at Rs. 10.60 Lakh (Ex-showroom) and go up to Rs. 19.50 lakh. In light of this, the company appears to be repeating the approach it used with the Sonet and the Syros. In other words, one product targets customers seeking a more loaded alternative, while another tries to attract those seeking a cheaper one.

The design of the Kia Clavis 7 Seater will be completely new. This car will compete with Maruti Suzuki XL6, Toyota Innova Hycross, and Hyundai Alcazar. Kia will unveil this car on 8th May 2025.

The MPV has been spied several times before its introduction, exposing several design elements. First, the front fascia has been updated with a new triangular headlight arrangement that is matched with reverse L-shaped DRLs. The SUV-like posture is a result of all of this as well as the vehicle’s upright standing. Furthermore, the alloy wheels and bumpers have been revised.

Features of Kia Clavis 7 Seater

Some features have been teased by the company, for eg, it will have ADAS (advanced Driver Assistance System) level 2 and LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps. Not only that, but the teaser also shows a panoramic sunroof and a fully digital driver display, adding to the vehicle’s premium appearance. The Kia Carens is a six- or seven-seater MPV, but the Clavis’s layout is anticipated to differ from the Carens’, possibly featuring two 10.25-inch integrated screens and connected lighting.

The Kia Carens and the new Clavis will be nearly identical in size. It will, however, have new alloy wheels, roof rails, light fixtures, and a reworked bumper. The unique feature is that the Kia Clavis will have a stronger and better road presence than the Kia Carens. It is anticipated that Clavis will have more characteristics because it would probably be positioned above Carens.

As a result, there are rumors that it will have new upholstery and hues, ventilated seats, and a redesigned dashboard. A bigger infotainment system and a 360-degree parking camera may be other new features. Customers will be drawn in by its appealing design.

Engine

The Kia Clavis will get the same engine as the Kia Carens. 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque are produced by the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, which is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. In addition, a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 158 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque is offered. It may be mated to either a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a 6-speed iMT transmission. Additionally, a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque is offered. It may be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Any driver’s demands will be met by these powerful engine selections.
