iQOO Z9: Design and Body
The iQOO Z9 design is quite similar to older phones. The iQOO has a flat screen and comes in two beautiful colors: brushed green and graphene blue. The screen size is around 6.67 inches and has an 86.8% screen-to-body ratio; other than that, it comes with an AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800nits.
The glass does not have Gorilla Glass protection; instead, it has Dragon Tail Star 2 glass.
The phone weighs around 188 g and has a glass front but a plastic back and a plastic frame. The phone has an IP54 rating, which is for dust and splash resistance.
Camera:
In recent years, we have seen lots of phones with triple camera setups, not only in the mid-range but also in the budget segment. But it’s good to see the iQOO Z9, which comes with a dual camera, dumping useless macro cameras. Even the Nothing Phone 2A has only two rear cameras. The Z9 comes with a 50 MP main sensor with OIS and a 2 MP depth sensor; it would be better if they just included an ultra-wide camera. The front camera comes with 16 MP.
Daylight shots look good; the images are vibrant, and the colors look good, but the indoor shots are okay; they are not that vibrant compared to daylight. However, that does not mean they are bad shots; you can still upload them on Instagram if you want them. Though you will miss the ultra-wide-angle camera,.
The front camera takes good photos in daylight, but indoor photos are okay. Portrait photos also look amazing; they are all crisp and sharp.

Performance:
The iQOO Z9 packs the MD 7200 chipset, which is a very good processor. It uses the Arm Mali-G610GPU. The AnTuTu score is 7,24,763, a much better score than its competitors. The Geek Bench 6 scored 1183 singles and 2645 multicores.
While the score conveys a general sense of how a smartphone should function, the true experience is somewhat different. Based on Android 14, the gadget is powered by FuntouchOS 14. While there are a few pre-installed apps, the issue is with the trendy apps and games. Blotware, hot apps, and games are major issues in this market that the company needs to address.
