Google has finally announced the the Android 16 will be released next month which is earlier compared to previous android updates. This announcement has peaked interest for Samsung smartphones, the OneUI 8 soon going to be released with Android 16 OS.
Samsung One UI 8 release timeline
In a recent video, Samsung’s Vice President and Head of Smartphone Planning, Kang Minseok , provided an update. He promised that One UI 8 will be released “this summer.” Though OneUI 7 with Android 15 was released this year in januaryith S25 series, in the next few months we might see OneUI 8. The One UI 8 might release either in June, July, or August.
It’s still a wide window. Anything from June to September might be considered “summer.” However, it’s fantastic that Samsung has provided a release timeframe. Although the timing is not precise, it demonstrates its dedication.
It is reasonable to assume that this year’s deployment will go more smoothly. One UI 8 will be a minor upgrade in contrast to One UI 7, which had many modifications and delays. It should concentrate on small adjustments and performance enhancements. Samsung will be able to release that more quickly and easily.
Samsung Confirms One UI 8 Release Timeline
The smartphones that will receive the update initially have not been disclosed by Samsung. However, the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series will be given priority initially, based on historical trends. It would probably come later to mid-range devices like the Galaxy A series.
When One UI 7 was first published, it was criticized for being sluggish and glitchy. It took some consumers longer than anticipated to obtain it. It seems like Samsung is learning from that. They may avoid the same problems with a faster beta.

It’s a very safe guess that the Samsung Galaxy S24 phones and other 2024 models will also receive the One UI 8 upgrade, as the Galaxy S25 series is the current flagship. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after that.

Galaxy Tab S10+, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ 5G, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra 5G, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 5G, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S8 5G, Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G are the tablets might receive One UI 8 update in future.
