Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Copied from Apple iPhone 17 Air is false, says Samsung. The iPhone 17 Air has nothing to do with it. The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which measures 5.8mm, is the thinnest phone from Samsung, and the brand claims it is also the thinnest Galaxy S phone ever. According to Beckford, this requires time for research and development, which began long before there were any rumors of Apple’s iPhone 17 Air. Since the week of August 2023, when the Galaxy Z Flip 5 was released, I have been aware of the Edge.
Even though Samsung says it didn’t learn anything from Apple’s rumored smartphone, there will probably be some similarities. The iPhone 17 Air, according to leaks, will also have a lower camera loadout with only one 48MP lens, a thickness of 5 to 6 mm, and a price that puts it below the most expensive Pro Max model.
Do we need Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?
People who desire certain Galaxy S25 Ultra characteristics without the heft of an “ultra” phone are the target market, according to Beckford’s analysis of the company’s market. Thus, the titanium frame, Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU (the full eight-core version), and 200MP camera.
The Edge has some of the same flagship features as the Galaxy S25, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, seven years of software updates, the aforementioned 200MP rear camera with a 12MP ultra wide lens and a 12MP selfie sensor, and the full Galaxy AI suite (rather than the inferior “awesome intelligence” toolkit found on less expensive Samsung phones).
The device’s battery life is the main area of uncertainty. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s power pack is 1100mAh larger than the Edge’s 3900mAh battery. Since tiny phones were last popular, chip efficiency and software optimization have advanced significantly, but their short battery life also contributed to their eventual demise. We’ll have to wait and watch if the Galaxy S25 Edge suffers the same fate or if it can create a new standard for thin phones that may become the norm for Samsung phones in the future.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Price in India
The Galaxy S25 Edge is already available for pre-order, and sales are expected to begin on May 23. While the 512GB variant costs $1,219.99/Rs. 1,21,999, the 256GB model is priced at $1,099.99/Rs. 1,09,999. It is available in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium icy blue.
