Honor just showcased the new Honor Magic 400 series to the world. The brand will soon launch the premium smartphone in the Indian market. This year, the Honor Magic8 series will also be an upgrade to the Magic series. According to recent speculations, the Honor Magic8, Magic 8 Pro, and Honor Magic 8 Mini will be the three handsets in the family. Honor is actively developing this new portfolio.

Design and Build Quality

The Honor Magic 8 mini design will be similar to the Honor Magic 8 series, and according to rumors, this might be a slim phone from Honor. The phone might have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a glass back panel. It will not have a headphone jack and will support USB Type-C charging.

Display Technology

According to leaks, the phone will not be exactly mini; instead, it will have a fantastic body-to-screen ratio. The Honor Magic 8 mini display will sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED, and if you are expecting a compact device with a 5-inch display, that’s not going to happen.

Performance Specifications

The phone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, while the other models like the Honor Magic8 will go with a 6.58-inch display and will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The Pro model will feature a 6.7-inch screen and should also come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC is a great processor and is expected to achieve an AnTuTu score of 4 million points. The Dimensity 9500 is expected to rank among the most potent Android chips with a score that surpasses the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s current record. Additionally, according to AnTuTu, TSMC’s 3nm N3P technology will be used to build the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

Camera System

Honor Magic 8 mini camera has not been revealed by the brand, nor has it been leaked, but Honor Magic 8 Pro camera details have been leaked. A 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera will all be included in the Magic 8 Pro. We anticipate further specifications to emerge eventually.

Software Experience

The software experience offered by Honor, especially MagicOS, is well praised for its seamlessness, adaptability, and interaction with Google’s ecosystem. Many people regard MagicOS to be a more sophisticated and less bloated option, even though it has a learning curve for those used to stock Android. Split-screen multitasking, adjustable backgrounds and themes, and several AI-powered capabilities, such as the Magic Portal for instant information access, are some of the main features.

Battery and Charging

According to rumors, the Honor Magic 9 mini battery might fall between 4500 mAh and 5000 mAh. The official battery capacity has not been released, so we can only guess for now. The phone will also be packed with a fast charger of 100W and 80W wireless charging.

Connectivity and Features

Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, Galileo, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, and OTG are among the Honor 400 Pro’s connectivity choices. A proximity light sensor, compass, fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, infrared control, and ambient light sensor are among the sensors aboard. The phone is guaranteed to withstand water and dust thanks to its IP68 + IP69 certification. It has two stereo speakers.

Pricing and Market Positioning

The phone has not been released on the market. The Honor Magic 7 Pro, in contrast, has a 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch telephoto camera with up to 100x digital zoom and 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 1/1.3-inch 50-megapixel main sensor with variable aperture.

In January, the Honor Magic 7 Pro was released in Europe, retailing at EUR 1099.99 (about Rs. 97,000) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration. In October of last year, it made its first appearance in China. The Honor Magic 8 mini price will be less than Rs. 80,000.
