Recently, Infinix launched its new smartphone, the Infinix GT 20 Pro, a new budget gaming smartphone with a unique active cooling solution.

The biggest problem faced by smartphones is the heating problem. To curb this problem, most smartphones provide cooling solutions, but in most cases, this does not make a difference. The smartphone with good cooling features is an expensive smartphone. Now Infinix has a unique solution. Read the full review if you are thinking of buying.

Design and built:

Last year Infinix came up with Infinix GT 10 with Cyber Mecha design, this year we see upgraded version of last year smartphone.

With its Cyber Mecha 2.0 design, the Infinix GT immediately gives away that it is a gaming phone. That’s not all; the back of it also features a glyph lighting system reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (2a) though all led lighting are inspired by ASUS gaming phone. Although it was an interesting feature, I thought Infinix did a good job implementing it. Unlike Nothing, which only had one color option, the Infinix GT 20 Pro has RGB lighting that can be adjusted to suit the user’s preferences. This might remind you of ASUS gaming phone which had led lighting at back but the only difference is they don’t has led strip design.

It comes with a 6.78-inch flat-panel AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and it can reach peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.

The devices come in three colors: Mecha Blue, Mecha Orange, and Mecha Silver. It also has an IP54 rating, which is for water and dust protection. The one thing that i liked about smartphone is that it comes with two case one is for mag case and other one is normal. The mag case is for cooling the device. The phone also comes with tempered glass inside the box.

Infinix is giving out a free GT Pro gaming package, which comes with a Mag case, cooling fan, and finger sleeves, to a select few customers.

Camera:

The Infinix GT 20 Pro comes with a triple camera setup: a 108 MP primary camera, a 2 MP depth camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. The device also supports 4K video recording at up to 60 fps.

At this price point, you don’t expect high-quality photos in this price segment. The photos are decent in daylight, but at night they struggle. The same is the case with selfies. Overall, a decent camera ,will get the job done. The front camera is of 32MP.

Performance:

The first phone featuring the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset, 8/12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage to be released in India is the Infinix GT 20 Pro. The device has a score of over nine lakh on AnTuTu, and it performs well in real life as well. The Geek Bench 6 score is also impressive, with 1020 for a single-core score and 3384 for a multi-core score.

With normal usage, it does get warm, but while playing games, it does get hot, but it’s not alarming. Some of the games, like BGMI, PUBG, CODM, etc., do have 90fps support. So those who love to play BGMI will have a great time playing at 90 fps.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro comes with a cooling device inside the box. To test how cooling works, we played some games. Playing games with a cooling fan works; it does bring the temperature down, but it does not work when you play Genshin Impact, where the FPS remains low after heating. The cooling fan works if you are playing games like BGMI or CODM.

In the CPU benchmark test, the CPU clock speed dropped without a cooling fan, but with a cooling fan, the CPU was able to maintain a higher clock speed.

By enabling the CPU to sustain a higher clock speed for an extended amount of time, the cooling system can enhance heat dissipation, as demonstrated by this test, providing a steady gaming experience free from frame drops. But I also noticed that, because the cooling fan runs on an internal battery, it uses a lot of battery, so the battery runs out very fast.

Verdict:

Overall its a good phone if you are thinking of buying it then go for it. I would recommend this phone to gamers because of its cooling fan, it helps when phone is hot. Apart from that it packs with 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging charger. With single charge it can last entire day. The phone comes with an extremely feature-rich version of xOS 14, which is based on Android 14, and comes with minimal bloatware. Infinix also promises three years of security updates in addition to two significant OS upgrades. This is another noteworthy feature.
