Is Apple referring to their use of ChatGPT as Apple Intelligence?
Well, the answer is no. Apple said Apple Intelligence runs on iPad, iPhone, and Mac are on Apple silicon-powered servers in the cloud, and Apple calls it Private Cloud Compute. The questions and prompts you ask will determine whether Apple Intelligence is handled in the cloud or on your device. Neither ChatGPT nor OpenAI’s well-known service powers Apple Intelligence. Though Apple does allow third-party AI services like ChatGPT, it will be integrated with Siri.
Apple Intelligence Features
- Writing Tools: Edit content, rewrite it in a different voice, and condense a portion of it. These tools work with iOS, iPadOS, and macOS and may be found in third-party programs.
