Microsoft has started rolling out the Windows 11 24H2 update to all Windows 11 devices, and it brings a lot of new features and several improvements. This new update also has some exclusive features for Copilot+PCs, PCs with dedicated NPUs. All the compatible devices will get this update, but in order to update, devices must be running Windows 11 or Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2.

Windows Update is deployed using servicing technology, which means OS swap; all the previous updates will be replaced by a new update.

Key Features in the Windows 11 24H2 Update

HDR background support-This HDR background support is great; if any user has an HDR monitor, you can enable HDR background support. Users can find this option in the settings app.
Support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth LE audio- The Windows 11 24H2 update brings the support of the latest Wi-Fi 7, which will enable faster data transfer. Not just that, this new update also supports Bluetooth LE audio. The update also includes a scan progress indicator and a refresh button for Wi-Fi networks. It facilitates speedy network discovery.

Because the function may display sensitive data, safe access needs Windows Hello. To safeguard private information, the business has also incorporated a sensitive information filter. If a user does not wish to utilize the recall option, they can disable it.
Click to Do (Preview)- Click to Do facilitates rapid tasks and offers an interactive overlay for the PC screen. It includes a number of features for activities including emailing or summarizing text, blurring backgrounds in photos, and visual search with Bing.
Energy Saver- Additionally, Microsoft is updating all Windows PCs, including those without batteries, with a new “Energy Saver.” It will lower system performance, thereby lowering PC energy usage. The goal is to lower power consumption and increase the energy efficiency of your PC. The battery life of PCs with built-in batteries will also be extended. Additionally, Microsoft has expanded the Power & battery settings.

To install the update, Press the Win key on your keyboard. In the search bar, type “check for updates” and hit Enter. Here, confirm that the Turn on Toggle is on to receive the most recent updates as soon as they become available. Check the updates now.
