In India, Oppo just unveiled the Find X8 series of smartphones. There haven’t been any Find series in India since the 2020. Find X2 was released in 2020, after that Oppo didn’t launch any Find series in Indian market.
This phone, which is the first in India to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, sports a 1.5K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, an IP68 + IP69 rating, and a massive 5910mAh battery that is larger than the Find X7 Ultra. Let’s read the review and see how it performs, also Oppo Find X8 Pro price in India is provided.
Display and Design
It has similar design compared to the Find X6 Pro and X7 Ultra; both had leather-backed variants, which makes them distinctive. The phone comes with a curved glass back and comes in two colors: pearl white and space black. On the right side we get a power button with volume rockers, and this time we also see a new camera button for the first time. Just like Apple, you can press a button to activate the camera, and sliding through the button lets you zoom in or out, but it works in landscape mode only. On the left side we also see an alert slider, which we have already seen in iPhone and OnePlus devices.
The smartphone has a loudspeaker at the bottom, a microphone type-C connection, and dual sim capability. The phone’s exterior is composed of aluminum, and it has an infrared blaster on top.
The 6.82-inch (2780 x 1264 pixel) 1.5K quad curved LTPO AMOLED screen of the OPPO Find X8 Pro has a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. Either normal FHD+ or 1.5K can be chosen. For protection, the display’s glass is strengthened. The Find X8 Pro’s design may not be as amazing, but it is simpler to grip and use because to its gigantic 5910mAh battery, which is 910mAh larger than the unit on the X7 Ultra, and its 0.7mm slimmer and 6g lighter design.
The display is bright and in direct sunlight it can go up to 1600 nits and peak brightness is around 4500 nits which is impressive.
Because of its 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, it provides good color output. Vibrant, Natural, and Pro screen color modes are available for selection. DC dimming operates when the brightness is more than 70 nits, whereas 2160Hz PWM dimming activates at 70 nits or below. Additionally, the phone supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10. Additionally, there are settings for picture sharpening and video color enhancement.
Camera
The biggest reason users will buy the Oppo X8 Pro is because of its camera. The phone comes with a quad camera setup. A primary 50MP 1/1.4-inch Sony Lytia LYT-808 module with OIS, a 50MP ISOCELL JN5 wide-angle lens, a 50MP 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 with 3x optical zoom, and a secondary 50MP telephoto that utilizes the IMX858 and has a 6x optical zoom are the four 50 MP cameras on the phone’s back.
The one thing that is impressive about the camera is that it has two telephoto periscope lenses, which gives a distinct advantage to the Find X8 Pro. The new Oppo Find X8 Pro can take photos of fast-moving objects, which is similar to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The X8 Pro can shoot 6 images per second, which is impressive and already better than its predecessor.
The new Oppo Find X8 Pro can take 200 shots in burst mode, and its impressive it can also maintain quality. When it comes to on-device AI the subject identification, the phone performs admirably. Live Photo is excellent, and it’s noteworthy because the recorded video utilizes the same quality as the picture.

Thanks to the Sony Lytia sensor, daylight photos were sharp and detailed, and auto HDR improves dynamic range. Despite having a large f/2.0 aperture, the ultra-wide is good, however I wish it had a larger sensor. The camera’s ultra-wide lens allows you to take outstanding macro pictures. Images with lots of details and little noise work well in low light. The 32MP auto front camera performs well, and the night mode is helpful.
The phone can record 4K60 Dolby Vision video from all four of the rear lenses in addition to the front camera, giving you good improvements in the video department as well. This is one of the greatest camera packages available today, and it can capture HDR video when the Ultra Steady stabilization is turned on.
Performance
Oppo this time decided to go with the MediaTek chipset, and it uses the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Both X8 and X8 Pro have the same processor. The X8 Pro comes with the Immortalis G925 GPU, which is an impressive GPU.
The device doesn’t have any heating issue as of now. It only received a stability score of 51%, which is below average, in 3DMark’s rigorous Steel Nomad Light stress test. Additionally, the Immortalis-G925 performs exceptionally well in rasterization tasks, but it falls short of the Adreno 830 in workloads involving ray tracing.
The phone touches 41-42 degrees Celsius during heavy usage like gaming, which is good. Though there was a small jitter while playing for hours, it was minor and didn’t affect the gaming performance. The main drawback is that ColorOS strictly enforces a 60 fps limit, meaning you can’t play games at 120 fps. The Dimensity 9400 can easily handle demanding titles, which is unpleasant, but it appears that the firm is once again taking a conservative stance in this area.
Battery life
Oppo Find X8 Pro has a bigger battery than its predecessor X7 Ultra and has a 5910 mAh battery, and it uses the latest silicon carbon technology to deliver battery density, which is why the phone is thinner and also able to pack a bigger battery.
It takes a little more than 50 minutes to charge the phone using the included 80W charger. Because the phone now uses a single cell battery rather than the two batteries that were commonplace for the previous three years, it is far longer than the Find X7 Ultra and other handsets I have examined. It is still far superior than other popular phones, even though it doesn’t reach 100% as quickly as the OnePlus latest devices.
UI and Apps
The Find X8 series are the first OPPO phones to come pre-installed with ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15. For the first time, the phone will receive six years of security patches in addition to five Android updates. ColorOS 15 has a minimalist look with a smart and aesthetically pleasing interface that is enhanced by the addition of dual-layer mixing, diffuse shadows, and natural blurring.
The new Flux Theme, which allows you to alter layouts and effects to create a personalized configuration that smoothly switches between the Always-On Display, Lock Screen, and background, has revamped icons and widgets. The user interface is also more fluid.
There are also several other features, like AI clarity enhance that can enhance low-resolution images, AI unblur can remove blur from images, and AI reflection remover can remove any reflection from images.
