Earlier the non-pro version had great and aggressive pricing, but now every year the ROG phone price is increasing. It was spotted by 91mobiles on the WiFi Alliance website; it reveals the ASUS ROG Phone 9 FE with model number ASUS_AI2401_N. Earlier with same model number was found on GSMA database by GizmoChina.
The listing reveals that the phone supports mostly all Wi-Fi bands up to 6 GHz. The new ASUS ROG Phone 9 FE will also have support for Wi-Fi 6 and Miracast. In case you are wondering what Miracast is, it is used for image and video sharing between devices using Wi-Fi. According to the source, the gadget may still ship with Android 15, much like the other phones in the ROG Phone 9 series, although it looks like it is presently being tested on Android 14.
The publication had theorized that the phone would use specifications from the Phone 8 series because it shares a model number with the ROG Phone 8 range. That may indicate a cooling system-equipped Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU. To further the gaming experience, it could possibly support the ROG mobile trademark accessories.
However, because of the FE branding, the pricing will probably be cheaper than the other ROG Phone 9 series models. To keep the price of this version low, Asus could make certain compromises, such as omitting the programmable small LEDs on the rear or utilizing a less potent cooling system.
