One thing is sure: the upcoming smartphoneโor should we say next-generation smartphonesโwill have multi-day battery life. We might see an 8000mAh battery in the Realme GT8 Pro, which might launch in 2025.
While brands are gearing up for their smartphone launches in December, and some of them are in the premium segment, here Realme is gearing up for a new smartphone with an 8000mAh battery capacity.
We have already see Realme GT7 Pro with massive 6500mAh battery and iQOO 13 which is going to launch soon and will have 6150mAh battery capacity is already humongous. While iPhone 16 Pro Max packs a 4685mAh battery which is nearly half of 8000mAh.
However, it appears that Realme has more ambitious intentions for 2025. The business is reportedly testing next-generation battery capacity for its next flagship, which might be the Realme GT8 Pro, according to a leak from trustworthy source Digital Chat Station (via Notebookcheck).
8000mAh battery in Realme GT8 pro: Not really
There is currently no guarantee that the Realme GT8 Pro will include an 8000mAh battery; nevertheless, there are three possible configurations that the company is reportedly planning. A 7000mAh battery that takes 42 minutes to fully charge using 120W fast charging. A 7500mAh battery that can be fully charged in 55 minutes using 120W fast charging, and an 8000mAh battery that can be fully charged in 70 minutes using 120W fast charging.
According to the research, battery size and charging speed are traded off, with larger capacities leading to somewhat longer charging periods. Let’s face it, though: compared to some of the current competition (Samsung), an 8,000mAh battery that takes 70 minutes to fully charge is still lightning quick.
Realme may usher in a new age of incredibly durable phones if it pushes the boundaries in 2025 with an 8,000mAh battery. But like other technological advancements, US consumers may have to wait a bit to experience the silicon battery revolution until companies like Apple, Google, and Samsung adopt this technology.
Regretfully, Realme concentrates on markets like China and India rather than the US, UK, or Australia when selling its phones. US /UK can only hope that this will change or that other smartphone manufacturers would adopt Realme’s cutting-edge battery technology.
