OnePlus is soon going to launch its first compact smartphone in the Indian market. OnePlus has already released the OnePlus 13 and 13R earlier in India; now, a new smartphone has been added to the list.
OnePlus 13s Specs: Rumors vs. Confirmed Specs
Some of the long-running speculations about the OnePlus 13’s specifications are untrue. For example, there was a time when it was thought that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would power the device, but it was just untrue. Now, let’s examine some of the details that OnePlus itself has confirmed.
OnePlus on Monday (28th April 2025) confirmed that it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the OnePlus 13s. According to reports, it will be paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, and it will be available only in one variant.
The OnePlus 13s will have a 6.32-inch screen. A refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 4,000 nits may be supported by the display. The phone thickness is around 8.15 mm, and it weighs around 185g, which is quite light compared to its competitors. According to reports, OnePlus will use a 1.5K OLED HD+ display for the OnePlus 13s handset and will support 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates. For security, an in-display fingerprint will be used for secure and fast unlocking.
The phone will come in two color variants: Black Velvet and Pink Satin. This will be the first smartphone from OnePlus to have a pink finish. Additionally, the phone is said to have an IP68/IP69 classification, which makes it waterproof and dust-tight, making it perfect for rough use.
It is a flagship device and will offer 12 GB/16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB/1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The OnePlus 13s will have a dual camera setup, both of 50MP. The primary camera will be a 50MP camera, which might support both EIS and OIS, and the other 50MP camera will be an ultra-wide camera, which will support OIS. The front-facing camera will be 16 MP, which cannot record 4K videos, but instead it can go up to 1080p@30fps.
A total of 37,000 mmยฒ is used for heat dissipation, with 4400 mmยฒ dedicated to VC cooling. The heat dissipation efficiency is higher when the 3D structure is near the chip; the heat dissipation capacity is strengthened when a specific nano ice crystal coolant is added.
Battery
Although the phone’s battery has not been confirmed, there are reports that it may use the newest technology, Si-Ca batteries, which may have a bigger capacity than 6000 mAh. It will be packed with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone is most likely the rebranded version of the OnePlus 13T, which was released earlier in China.
Other Specs
GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (G1), Galileo (E1+E5a), QZSS (L1+L5), Bluetooth 5.4, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be 2X2 MIMO, USB Type-C 2.0, and NFC will be available. The OnePlus 13s will be using Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for speakers.
Out of the box, users will get Android 15 with OnePlus Skin, i.e., OxygenOS/ColorOS. It will have 4 years of OS updates, which is up to Android 19 (expected), and additionally, it will receive 6 years of security updates. The brand has now started to increase the Android updates, as Google announced they will be providing updates for up to 7 years for Pixel devices. Samsung was the one to follow 7 years of updates, and in the future, we might see Chinese brands also follow the same path.
OnePlus 13s Price in India and availability
According to reports, OnePlus 13s may arrive in India with a starting price of around Rs 45,000, and a higher variant might be up to Rs 55,000. In the case of the OnePlus 13s, the report indicates that it may launch initially in the Indian market, with a potential worldwide release to follow.
