Highlights:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 7050
  • Good daylight cameras
  • Low-light photography Not that great

Design and Build:

The Realme P1 5G comes with a beautiful 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display (1080×2400 pixels). It’s screen-to-body ratio is around 92.65% (branded by brand), with a punch-hole display at the front. At this price, you get an AMOLED display, which is impressive, and it also supports a 120 Hz refresh rate with peak brightness up to 2000 nits.

Don’t worry about screen, the screen is bright in daylight and indoors. The fingerprint scanner is also responsive.

The Realme P1 5G (Flipkart) Phoenix Red variant comes with feather texture at back panel while the peacock green also has texture but in green color. It also has IP54 rating which is for dust and splash proof.

Realme P1 – Camera:

For optics, Realme has a dual camera setup: a 50 MP f/1.8 wide-angle primary camera and a 2 MP f/2.4 mono camera. Though the Realme P1’s dynamic range is poor and yields uneven results, its primary camera produces some nice daytime photographs with good clarity and sharpness. The portrait shots are passable; the quality of the images you receive will vary; some will be excellent and some will not.

The low light photos are not that great you will see noise in photos and detail loss in photos and it does not have OIS that the reason the low light photography is not that impressive. You can shot video up to 4K at 30 frames per second from the back camera, with good audio output and stabilization. For the price, the results are good.

In the day, the selfie camera produces beautiful photos with accurate skin tones and details. Low light conditions cause the photos to appear softer and with less detail. The Realme P1’s cameras are not its best feature set overall, but for the price, it performs admirably. Better low-light photography is possible, but that’s a common complaint with phones at this price range.
